I was lucky enough to be part of a project initiated by Shorehams's The Ropetackle Arts Centre, that ended up being called "Sons For Shoreham". This is one of the songs I wrote. It is about the woman who sells the Big Issue outside the Co-Op & at the Saturday Farmers Market. It was originally called "No Place Like Home", and it is a mix of real details (eg buying her baby nappies) & an attempt to talk in more general terms about people who end up here from elsewhere. Then I asked her her name, and she said her name was Esperanza.
Hope in English.
