about
Kenny Caird was a lovely man, a self-organising working class Glaswegian. He also helped organise The Star folk club in Glasgow, which is how I met him. He got terminal cancer, he didn’t let it defeat him, & I wrote this song for him. His memorial concert was called “Undefeated”. The going is tough, & the progress is slow, but we are building a bridge, if not to the stars in the sky (that is maybe a bit poetic, but you know what I mean) then at least towards a better tomorrow, & we do not bow down to those old packs of lies. No gods, no masters.
What a tribute, I haven’t the words to say how this group have been the soundtrack to my life, through good and bad.
Anything that helps is the least I can do, missed dearly. Joe Zux
